Short deployment at the Polish-Belarusian border

Overview:
Between Christmas and New Year, we supported the local Grupa Granica initiative with donations in kind and a small support team.

Course of the project:
CADUS was in contact with Grupa Granica several weeks before the deployment to determine the need for specific medical and communications equipment. During the Christmas holidays, the group needed not only material support but also medical staff. A doctor and another CADUS employee made their way to the border to support the local initiative there.

Our doctor accompanied the local support network to provide medical care to refugees who were hiding in the forest and trying to cross the border. The cold and the lack of prospects were very hard on the people there.
